Jacaranda Run 2026

Linden Runner hosts the seventh Jacaranda Run, a non-competitive morning of running and walking through Linden's jacaranda-lined streets. No licence is needed. Date Saturday, 17 October 2026, from 06:00. Venue Start and finish at Linden Bowling Club, 3rd Street, Linden, Randburg, where food and cold drinks are sold after the run.

Routes A 5km walk plus 10km and 21km runs on new routes through Linden, Risidale and Darrenwood. The 10km is the flagship distance. Routes are marked and marshalled at busy intersections, but you navigate yourself, so download the GPX files beforehand. Tickets 5km R250, 10km R300 and 21km R370 on Howler.

Entrants get Jacaranda Run socks plus vouchers and samples from local businesses. Registration Friday, 16 October from 17:00 to 19:00, or Saturday from 05:00 to 05:45. Friday collection is recommended. Good to know This is a green event with no cups or sachets at water points, so bring a reusable cup.

No dogs. Under 16s may only do the 5km walk, with a parent.
