Terms of Service

Visit Gauteng is operated by Mind Interactive Holdings (Pty) Ltd (trading as Mind Interactive) under the Visit Gauteng brand licensed from the Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA), which is the brand owner and tourism partner. Mind Interactive acts as principal and merchant of record for transactions on the platform. The service includes the Visit, GCEB, Live, Marketplace and More sections, at visit.gauteng.net.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.

  • Provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts with deliberately false information.

  • One account per person. Vendor accounts represent the business they are registered to.

You agree not to:

• Use the service unlawfully or in violation of South African law.

• Post abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content.

• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

• Interfere with the platform: large-scale scraping, denial of service, exploiting bugs.

• Resell access or bulk-export listings for competing services.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

When you book an experience or place an order, you contract with the vendor who operates that listing, not with the GTA. The GTA provides the platform and handles payment, but the vendor delivers the service or product.

• Payment: processed by PayFast.

• Cancellation and refunds: follow the vendor's stated policy and the platform Cancellation & Refund Policy; contact the vendor first, we mediate if needed.

• Disputes: email [email protected] within 7 days of the booking or order.

If you list as a vendor, additional terms apply (the Vendor/Merchant Agreement and Code of Conduct):

• You warrant you have the right to sell the products or services listed.

• You must honour bookings and orders accepted through the platform.

• Platform commission is deducted from payouts; the rate is shown in your vendor dashboard.

• Payouts are made to the bank details on file; keep them current.

You retain ownership of photos, reviews, posts and other content you contribute. By posting, you grant the GTA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute and adapt that content within Visit Gauteng and in associated marketing of the platform. We may remove content that violates these terms, infringes a third party's rights, or harms the platform.

The Visit Gauteng brand and content are owned by the GTA; the platform software is owned by Mind Interactive (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, modify or redistribute substantial parts of the platform without written permission.

The platform is provided 'as is'. We aim to keep it accurate and available but do not warrant that listings are error-free, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that any booking will be available. Vendor information is supplied by the vendor and may change. Outdoor and adventure activities carry inherent risk; you accept that risk and the vendor's own conditions of participation.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, the GTA's total liability for any claim arising out of the platform is limited to the total amount you paid through the platform in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages. Nothing limits rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act.

We may update these terms. The effective date reflects the current version; material changes are notified in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes not resolved by good-faith negotiation are referred to the courts of Johannesburg, Gauteng.
