Acceptable Use Policy

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service, the Vendor Agreement and the Organiser Agreement. It applies to everyone who uses Visit Gauteng.

You may not use the Platform for:

• fraud, payment fraud, money laundering, or using payment details you are not entitled to use;

• fake accounts, fake listings, fake reviews, or manipulating ratings;

• taking transactions off the Platform to avoid fees;

• phishing, malware, large-scale scraping, or attacking or testing the Platform's security without our written permission;

• accessing other users' accounts or information without authorisation;

• sending spam or unsolicited marketing to other users; or

• anything else that breaks South African law.

To protect users and the Platform, we may use automated and manual checks to detect fraud and abuse, verify identities and transactions, and require further verification before processing payouts or higher-risk transactions.

We may remove content or listings, suspend or close accounts, cancel transactions, hold payouts while we investigate, reverse fraudulent transactions, and report unlawful activity to the authorities and our payment partners. We act in proportion to the seriousness of the misuse.

Report suspected fraud or misuse to admin@visitgauteng.net. We treat reports confidentially as far as the law allows.
