Booking Terms & Conditions
The terms on which you book attractions, experiences and tours through

About these terms
These Booking Terms govern bookings of attractions, experiences, tours and similar dated services ('Experiences') made through Visit Gauteng. They apply together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy. By completing a booking you agree to them.
Who you are contracting with
Visit Gauteng is a booking platform operated by Mind Interactive Holdings (Pty) Ltd (trading as Mind Interactive) under the Visit Gauteng brand. When you book an Experience, your contract for that Experience is with the operator or venue that lists it ('the Operator'), not with Mind Interactive or the GTA. Mind Interactive facilitates discovery, booking and payment as operator and merchant of record; the Operator is responsible for delivering the Experience.
Information shown at booking
Before you pay, the listing and checkout disclose, as required by section 43 of the ECT Act: the Operator's identity, the total price including all taxes and fees, what is included, the date/time and any conditions, and the cancellation/refund terms. If a material disclosure is missing, you may have an extended right to cancel.
Prices and payment

Prices are in South African Rand and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

The total payable, including any platform or service fees, is shown before you confirm.

Payment is processed securely by PayFast. We do not store your card details.

Your booking is confirmed only once payment is approved and you receive a confirmation.

Your booking confirmation and tickets
On successful payment we issue a confirmation (and where applicable a ticket or voucher) by email and in your account. Present it as instructed by the Operator. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and for the details entered at booking.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, changes, no-shows and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy and the Operator's stated policy on the listing, both of which comply with section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act. In summary: you may cancel an advance booking subject to a reasonable cancellation charge that depends on the notice you give; if the Operator cancels the Experience, you are entitled to a refund of amounts paid.
Your conduct and safety
You must follow the Operator's reasonable rules and safety instructions and meet any stated requirements (age, health, fitness, equipment). Some Experiences carry inherent risk; you participate voluntarily and accept the Operator's conditions of participation. The Operator may refuse participation for safety or conduct reasons.
If something goes wrong
If an Experience is not as described or is not delivered, contact the Operator first. If it is not resolved, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days and we will mediate in good faith. This does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
Liability
The Operator is responsible for the Experience. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, the GTA's liability in connection with a booking is limited as set out in the Terms of Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
Governing law
These terms are governed by South African law, with jurisdiction as set out in the Terms of Service.
