Celebrated choreographer and performer Vincent Sekwati Koko Mantsoe returns as UJ's 2026 Artist in Residence for dance with Mpeyane's Dream (Ipupo), a first showing of a work in development. The piece follows a character who dreams his way towards his ancestors and spirits in search of self.
It blends traditional and contemporary dance and draws on Mantsoe's family heritage of sangoma practice, with an original score by Mantsoe inspired by isiXhosa sounds. Family friendly. General admission R150.
