Arts on Main
Arts on Main is the founding building of the Maboneng Precinct and remains its creative heart: a restored warehouse complex of artist studios, galleries, design shops and eateries just east of the CBD. It is best known for Market on Main, the Sunday food-and-design market that fills the courtyards and rooftop with craft stalls, street food and live music.
Through the week it is quieter but rewarding for browsing galleries and grabbing coffee. As the birthplace of Johannesburg's inner-city creative renaissance, it is an essential Maboneng stop on the 702 Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk route.
